Hut Village

I had this concept in my list for a long time and finally decided to recreate it! This environment is based off Harrison yinfaowei's concept "AkwuKwo Nri". Since the concept has a very painterly feel to it, i wanted to experiment with some new techniques to match the same atmosphere; I found resources about painting brushstrokes on your normal map, researched the Kuwahara filter and used some watercolor overlays in Davince Resolve. I also added some subtle chimney smoke particles to add to the coziness the environment gives off. To add some life to the scene, i slightly animated the sigil on the tower in Niagara, put some movement in the foliage and used a character i found on Sketchfab ("Chaman Ti-Pche" from David Presa).
